The setting is lovely. The servers were pleasant, and the food was good with very ample portions. We would have liked the dishes spaced out. Appetizers, salads, and entees all came out together. We had a delicious meal but felt sorry for our server. He was the only server working that night. He did an excellent job especially being the only server and other customers were giving him a hard time because the patio was closed. One couple was obviously annoyed because of the wait to get their food. Again the server was excellent and good delicious. Unfortunate there is such a staff shortage.

We thought our dinner experience was great. our reservation was honored immediately. The waitress was so sweet and attentive and asked us for our drink orders right away. One area of our table was dirty with some sticky residue, and the waitress quickly went to clean it. The onion soup we all ordered came out promptly and was absolutely delicious. The rest of the meal was served shortly after and was equally delicious. Food was great and so was the service for a great affordable price. We will be back.

Restaurant was not busy. We were totally ignored for about 15 minutes and had to ask for service. One table that came in after us was served first. Then waiter moved around ignoring us. Finally, my husband called out and as he approached, a waitress who had been standing by order machine came over. It took forever to get water and drinks. My hamburger came rare although ordered well done. Had to go back. Hamburgers came with chips but since I ordered sweet potato fries to share, they removed the chips and placed fries on plate with hamburger. Never gave me the chips included with meal. The food was very good but the service ruined the experience. While still eating another waitress came by and started removing a plate with lettuce, tomatoes etc. for hamburgers although we did not ask for anything to be taken away. The staff is poorly trained and lack minimum common sense.

Usually I love the Sycamore Grill but last night was not the usual. They were less busy than usual but the service was not as attentive as usual. Perhaps they did not have a full staff based on lack of reservations? Also the strip steak was very fatty and hard to chew. For $27.95 I would rather have less than 12 ounces and a steak that I can eat without a fight. Also I had purchased a restaurant.com coupon this week to be used on Sunday as per the rules and was told they are currently not accepting the coupons because of COVID. Take yourself off the website so people won't continue to purchase and not be allowed to use.The rest of our food was good.

The new burger night routine is interesting but I’m not sure I love it. The food is always good but sometimes the drinks aren’t quite right. Service has been iffy and you see a big turnover of employees so it’s a challenge. Usually the cook is absolutely right, but the last time was a little overdone. I still love burger night and will definitely return. We’ve never had bad food there. Highly recommended.

Went to dinner with another couple. I wanted to make a reservation for 5:30 or 6 but those times were not available, so I took the 5:00 slot. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was empty with the exception of a table of 3 men. We were seated next to this table. First of all, the men sitting next to us were EXTREMELY LOUD, like they owned the place. They must have been drunk, not sure, but not one of the restaurant staff did or said anything to them. After an intolerable 20 minutes, my husband finally told the men to turn it down as we could hardly hear each other speak. To no avail, and the men continued. We also noted that although other parties came in, there were several tables still available when we left about an hour later. I couldn't understand why I was unable to get my 5:30 time slot!
The food was good, but the server missed a few things, which was no big deal. We do like the French onion soup, but the price really went up.
After this last experience, we probably won't be going back for quite a while if at all. Very disappointed this time.

I always order the ceaser flatbread, in the past it was always fantastic, this time it was undercooked, doughy and it seems the ingredients have changed with less toppings of arugula, even though I sent it back to bake longer...they baked the arugula...most unsatisfactory. I had recommended this offering to my guest and she was disappointed as well. I am a vegetarian so this was my go to dish as there are few vegetarian options on the menu. The landscapers where mowing and blowing close to the outside dinning area which was unpleasant and distracting, making conversion difficult. Since they open at 3:00, it seems that landscape work should/could be completed before that time, wished our server had worn gloves and at the very least avoided touching our wine glasses close to the rim!

The high price point does not match the food quality. Food was mediocre at best. We use to dine at Sycamore Grille quite often, however, in the last few years the service, value and overall experience has slipped.
