The ambience and decorations were great, as was the tea with the meal. Lots of tea combinations I would not have tried on my own. The soup was a bit boring, but the rest of the meal and especially the desserts were absolutely amazing. We really enjoyed our evening.

I now live locally and have taken family members in June, July and August. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and my son who has travelled l all over the world said he had eaten in michelen star rated restaurants but this out shone all of them. Highly recommend, but make sure you book to avoid disappointment.

One of the best experiences I ever had as a foodie! We feel so lucky that we stumble upon this place when we were trying to find a place for dinner at the west part of Isle of Skye. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. The tea pairing was thoughtfully chosen to compliment each dish. The staff was very friendly, the interior and music heightened our senses. We are truly satisfied with this experience.

I always love the warm welcome and impeccable service at Chidakasha. Petra is a skilled and original cook and tea connoisseur. Her creations are beautiful and delicious, and it's lovely to have a tea pairings instead of alcohol. I appreciate that the menu is vegetarian/vegan, and I don't have to endure the presence of meat. This lends a peaceful, cleanly air to the restaurant and I can relax any enjoy my food without worrying of cross contamination. Support for ethical businesses! The servers are attentive and professional. The dinnerware is pretty and carefully selected. The music creates a warm and calming ambience. I can't recommend this place enough. A true gem.

We had a delightful evening here for our last night on Skye. We absolutely loved everything Petra made for us, definitely all created with love and passion. We are not vegetarians but would happily turn so if we could produce food like that, simply stunning. We also enjoyed the tea pairings with the food. The sweet girl (so sorry can’t remember your name) who waited on us was so charming and knowledgeable and a real asset to the restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful evening Petra.

Don't hesitate - book this place for a unique experience. The idea of tea pairings and an all-vegetarian menu may seem odd, but it really works. The location is perfect (we were cosy as the rain lashed outside). Service excellent and the explanations of the teas and food were welcome. Food was sublime, so many unique and new flavours. They accommodated my caffeine-free requirement without missing a beat.

Petra Nemasova has created a beautiful small restaurant in Glendale on the Isle of Skye. The dishes are all vegetarian and with a selection of teas paired with each course and curated with the skill of a sommelier in a standard restaurant. Her dishes, which can look simple but certainly are not, are flavourful and thought provoking. These reflect many of Petra’s travels in and around India. There are some standout dishes which will live long in our memories. Chidakasha is a place we return to whenever we are in Skye and can’t recommend a visit there highly enough - booking is however essential.

Without a doubt the best food and dining experience of our two-week holiday in Skye/Highlands. Petra's vegetarian food is worthy of a Michelin rating and the paring of courses with specialty teas works wonderfully well. With only 14 covers, and a set menu with limited choice the service was on par with the food, and the tea pairings were expertly explained by Petra's lovely assistant (we didn't get her name!). Get there early to sit near the kitchen and you can watch the passion with which both the food and teas are prepared. We will be back.

Delicious meal, and an excellent evening all round - lovely to meet Petra and enjoy such delicious fresh local produce. I'd recmommend this restaurant to everyone - vegetatians and meat eaters alike. Heel erg genoten van het menu wat met veel liefde is bereid, lekkere thee bij elke gang. Borden waren zeer zorgvuldig, compleet met eetbare bloemen opgemaakt. Alle smaken waren in goede proporties per gang gekozen. Zeer vriendelijke dames waardoor we een hartelijk en warm verblijf hadden. Restaurant is ook sfeervol ingericht. Sta je open voor creatief eten met bijpassende thee dan kun je met een gerust hart hiervoor kiezen!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening with Chidakasha Skye. We discovered a calming ambience on arrival created with soft lighting and lit candles keeping the top-up water for our tea warm. Their menu is a feast for the senses. Beautifully presented dishes incorporating the freshest ingredients, combining incredible textures and flavours which also tasted a m a z i n g. Our memorable dinner began with Mix nuts with toasted sesame, thyme and isle of Skye Sea Salt with fresh minted water; followed by an entree of Confit croft turnips served with full medames, almond milk, roasted red pepper and pumpkin relish and olive oil; Baked on the premises Wheat and rye sourdough; a main course of Middle eastern aubergine stew served with fragrant chickpea Carmague red rice, beetroot and sprout salad, prune and date chutney, and moong bean crisp; and was completed with a dessert of Lemongrass poached pear with Skye berry compote, cashew cream, and pistachio praline. We are not tea drinkers and throughly enjoyed sipping Phoenix Honey Orchid Oolong tea and also Red Dragon tea during our evening. Chidakasha Skye comes highly recommended from us for a beautiful dinner where the stars align to produce a thoughtfully conceived menu, welcoming and relaxing ambience, and where service is very discreet yet attentive. For dinner out or a special occasion do make a booking - you will not be disappointed!!!

What a find! An actual vegetarian restaurant. The simple exterior belies the magical experience once you enter. We loved everything; the relaxing ambience, the lovingly prepared food, the beautiful tables and decor and not least, run by two wise women! Very inspirational.

As last year - a lovely way to celebrate a special occasion. Everything truly delicious and not what I would take the trouble to cook myself (even if I had the ability). The tea pairings complemented the dishes, refreshing the palate in a good way. Thanks Petra and Linda!

This was an amazing experience : if you eat vegetarian I couldn’t recommend it more highly - the only culinary experience which comes close is a meal at L’Enclume - just go !- and before you can’t book in after everyone finds out about this very lovely special and delicious place ..
