Staff exceptional. Beautiful rustic setting. Chicken and mushroom soup was inedible. It was like dishwater! Mushroom Gnocchi was nice as was the duck.....very expensive for the tiny dish it was. Drinks pricey too. Won't be back

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and most accommodating of an earlier unforeseeable rescheduling we had to do. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our meal in the dining room included some amazing shared dishes. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Took 15mins to get seated when we had a booking. Plus when we got there we found out it was pizzas only nothing mentioned of this in there menu or website was very disappointing plus a 45min wait time on them. We won’t be coming back anytime soon. They need to get the menu sorted

Such a beautifully renovated venue! Staff friendly but there were a couple of glitches with staff unaware of some procedures. The meals were delicious and good value, as were the wines. We’ll certainly be back.

The manager was lovely, no problems there. The bar staff were friendly and social. That’s a plus. The pizza was below average and the table service was well below acceptable standard. The young waiter had an unpleasant attitude and zero etiquette. He answered with “what” when I asked for cutlery, salt and pepper. He came back and rudely dropped one sachet of pepper and salt on the table and walked away. Extremely disappointed with that service, food, and lack of value for money.

We waited one hour and 20 minutes for our food to arrive, we did allow for the fact that due to Covid a lot of venues are short staffed but given this 1 for 20 is still a stretch I feel. Beautiful venue and the staff were nice and friendly but overall not a good experience.

Bit of a wait for the food. The youngest child’s meal came out first which we didn’t ask for as we would have preferred to eat altogether (he’s 9). Fire was nice, quite busy for a Tuesday night. Local icecream cone was stale.

Beautiful Hotel and staff were lovely. $56 dollar scotch fillet was very grisly, and chips were cold that were served with the parmas. Food also came out at different times with the scotch fillet being 10mins after the other meals. My feedback is that if you're going to charge $56 for a scotch fillet it needs to be quality. Thanks

We had dinner here with our two young kids while on holiday in the area. We were really disappointed and wished we’d just gotten takeaway somewhere else instead. The service was chaotic - different staff gave us different information about meals and dietaries, they also didn’t bring any spare plates for the kids even though we just ordered one kids meal between two children as they don’t eat much. The young staff also didn’t seem to know a lot. The atmosphere was okay, although we were seated right underneath a huge tv playing the football. There was also a hair on the fish and chips but by that time we were over it and just wanted to finish up and go so we didn’t tell anyone. The food tasted fine but nothing special. Definitely wouldn’t recommend!

Ordered tangine with couscous. Rice came instead. You had run out of couscous. Staff should have mentioned this when taking order or returned to table to check this option was okay. Food was great. You were obviously very busy which is good to see after observing many places have closed down in Warburton.

Hi there - We booked on the Tuesday 25th Jan - at the time of ordering pizzas we were informed that it would take 1hour - we were ok with that as we understand the circumstances and great challenges around covid and staffing etc. We wanted to support the local pub that we love and the locals in it. We were served our pizzas well past the hour but that did not matter. The problem was that we were 3 pizzas short on the table. Myself and two15 year olds. When i saw that pizzas were being taken to another table i enquired about ours. It still then took another hour to receive the 3 pizzas and whilst we were waiting more pizzas were being taken to other tables. I get that there are inexperienced staff, however, the manager should have come and talked to us and apologised directly to those that had to wait until 10pm to get their pizzas. We are very understanding people but i left there deflated and upset about the lack of ability to at least come and apologise. We deserved that.

Really minimalistic rooms but beautifully styled. Quiet room despite busy pub downstairs. Room was pretty cold and took ages to heat up.Food was pretty average but loved the atmosphere and friendly staff and playing pool. Overall loved our little overnight stay and would definitely do again in the summer.

Easily the nicest place to go in Warburton - great venue, lovely building, views and really friendly service. It’s just a pity the food was a bit average. Last time we visited a year ago, there were lovely pizzas on offer as well as other good options, whereas this time the menu was limited and the food just average. We ate in both the restaurant and pub areas on different nights and had a good time but wouldn’t rave about either menu. In the pub, I ordered the vegetable curry, obviously expecting, well, vegetable curry! What I got was dhal - which is a completely different meal and not what I would have ordered had it said so on the menu. The fact it wasn’t very nice was a side issue. Dhal is NOT vegetable curry! There is not a single vegetable in dhal! Having said all that, we will definitely be back because the overall experience was a good one

Sorry guys. Lord knows I'm not a picky eater, but the "flathead tails" my wife and I ate on Sunday night (12 Jun) were plain horrible. For $27 each it was really disappointing. I know times have been tough, and it was a long weekend, and if it didn't get used then it would probably go in the bin - but that fish should have been in the bin already. It was either very tired, very poor quality, or both, and I doubt it was flathead. It tasted like a cheap knockoff. Please talk to your head chef, or food purchasing manager, as it was quite unacceptable as a meal. I really don't like leaving bad reviews, so I will end on a positive. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the place was super clean and tidy, and the parmas the kids ordered were excellent. Thanks for having us at Warburton - we love the place and will be back.

Greens ($16or$19) came out when focaccia was served and the vegetables were cold!! Jus was placed on plate resulting in soggy chips. Ordered medium rare steak and the steak was well done and rather tough . Kelly was delightful upon arrival, also talked us through menu. Service was good. Was not asked how our meals were so did not provide feedback. It has been 10 months since returning to dine at the Alpine and sadly did not meet expectations.

Love the Reno’s and beer garden they look amazing. Sadly my meal was pretty disappointing. I also ordered a gin and soda and the soda was flat. I went back and they replaced it with a gin and bottle soda that was also flat. I also had to wait a while at the bar to get the replacement drinks. I was there the night little green was on and it was great to see live entertainment in the beer garden x

Hotel is beautiful. Staff lovely. Food good. Room clean. Room needs a bedside lamp. Otherwise it's the big light on or no lighting unless you leave the bathroom light on. Hot/ cold water in shower. Very difficult to adjust. Either scalding or freezing. Actually it poses a risk of burning. For $285 it's very expensive for what it is.

Disgraceful! To pay $39 for a salmon dish that is the size of a kids meal is so wrong! So I asked for another piece of salmon to be cooked which would have cost the pub $5. The chef refused (via the waiter). I then asked to see the manager and got a refund. If the pig headed chef had of given one more piece of salmon the entire party of 8 would have stayed on, had more drinks and dessert. The kids meals were also very small. Absolutely appalling. We will never return.

Not the best experience and I’m wondering if that’s because my husband and I are heavily tattooed, unlike everyone else in the hotel. Seated at a dripping wet table, directly out the front of the toilets (not the best seat for a 5th wedding anniversary). Waitress that seated us was super brief (I understand she was busy though) and didn’t tell us to order at the bar so we sat and waited until we realised. Food wasn’t bad but we weren’t given any knives and forks. We had to find a waiter and ask him for them. Like I said I understand how flat out the wait staff were but they seemed genuinely put out by us being there.

I took my partner away to Warburton for his birthday and wanted to booked a nice dinner. Food took an hour and 20 min (for 2 ppl) to come out, we had to follow up with 2 waiters. We ordered medium rare and got extra well done steaks. They took the food away and cooked a new batch which was another 30 min. Overall, an okay experience.

We had booked a table inside, although, when we got to the hotel, to find outside music, & a great atmosphere, we were pleased to be outside, & enjoy the outdoor beer garden. All the staff were lovely, loved the ‘chilled water’ tap outside too. The pub is a beautiful spot!

Service was slow but it was busy so somewhat expected. It would be nice to have had some updates on food eta. An hour is a long time to wait when you have 2 young kids!!

Food was fresh. Salad no dressing and none on the side. Mushroom sauce was watery and not very tasty. Overpriced considering venue and food quality. I'll be returning to Cunninghams for a much tastier steak n mushroom sauce for $7 less ($22 less on steak night!) rather than returning here. The bistro feels more like the bar

Don’t understand how restaurants advertise entrees and mains then insist on either bringing all the food out together or mains first!! Disappointed that my main sat getting cold while I ate my entree, waitress couldn’t have cared less

Lighting in the old dining room very bright and lacking in atmosphere. Service was a bit slow, but a helpful staff member was happy to chase it up. Music was not really out thing and a bit off-putting.

It is a pleasant place with nice atmosphere. But the food wasn't great. The salmon didn't seem fresh. And the sauce was not good....definitely not fresh or well made....I felt unwell after the meal. The mash is good. But way too much of it. More balance on the plate required.

The menu is limited, especially for vegetarian options. The size of the meal was quite small with not enough salad. The place is nice and I appreciate the fact that it was very busy on the day we were there, but the meal I really wanted had sold out, and it was only 6.30 in the evening.

Love what they’ve done with the place. Would have loved to sit on the other area and not the main bar which lacked ambience. Unfortunately we waited more than an hour for our meals. And while the meals were lovely it wasn’t anything to rave about. Will give it one more chance for them to sort out teething problems.

Great pub for families. Plenty of space indoors and out. We sat in front of the fire which was perfect. Staff were exceptional. So friendly and efficient. The menu is currently a bit limited due to the kitchen Reno. A bit overpriced for what you get but great flavours.

The food wasn't as nice as previous visit, maybe because this visit was Mother's Day, you were very busy...still enjoyed though. The fish & chips disappointing to only get one thin slice of fish for what we paid. Apparently some orders were coming out with two pieces of fish, our two orders only had one piece. Overall love what you've done with the hotel and we will definitely keep coming back, now a local favourite!

Great outside area, can’t understand why you can only order pizzas outside. I makes no difference if your carrying a pizza on a plate out side or a pasta dish. Makes no scene and could me a whole lot better with full menu availability inside and out.

Labour Day eve & so glad we’d booked. Salad was really only greens & food understandably took a while they were doing a roaring trade. Great pub with nice atmosphere. Our family enjoyed the Alpines hospitality.

The food was lovely and the staff for all great. The problem was the line to order food and drinks at the bar was slow and long. We wanted to order a second round of drinks but didn’t because who could be bothered joining a huge line at the bar!

Lack of staff, very long wait times for the bar with an awkward queue around the valentines dining tables. The food was pretty average, batches of food must have been cooked in the morning to prepare for valentines dinner tonight. The roasted potatoes for example arrived cold and rock hard (like it was roasted that morning instead of freshly prepared).
