We were seated on time, but after ordering within minutes, we waited 35 minutes for edamame and miso (which was served right next to where we were sitting already prepared). We asked for roll recommendations, she recommended the two most expensive rolls on the menu and they weren’t that great, especially after waiting almost an hour for our food. They were out of the sake I ordered, and the recommended replacement was triple the price. We won’t be going back anytime soon.

Food was awesome. Atmosphere not great. Sat at table by bathroom so smelled that more than food. Room was all hard surfaces so no absorption of noise. Very loud and not romantic for a date night.

The AC was out/not functioning properly when we were there so, the first table we sat down at we were all sweating and fanning ourselves with menus it was so uncomfortable. Thankfully the bar area had a table open up and our server offered to move us there, where it was more comfortable. Food was fantastic, the specialty cocktails we found to be a bit overpriced and our server was super accommodating under tough circumstances. It would have been better for them to open doors/windows to get better air circulation.

While we had a delicious meal and enjoyed our evening, our on line booking was not on their system. I had not taken my phone so could not show them. It worked out as the two of us sat at counter and stilll enjoyed ourselves. I checked my reservation confirmation email and it clearly said day and time we went. Will go again, as we had an excellent meal. But disappointed our reservation not acknowledged.

Rarely does a dining experience have both excellent food and service all in one experience but Aoi came through like a champ. Maybe it was my personal taste but I couldn't find one dish on the menu that didn't fit into what I would expect a competent sushi house to serve. That being said, the menu wasn't mainstream but a combination of creative, substantial, and fresh. Since it's a short review I'll leave it at that and add one more note, our water Eric(k)? was the bee knees, we made a reservation for next week and requested him.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out for a long time. The positive reviews are all true. Our waiter was amazing and we not once had to ask for refills.
The three rolls my date and I had were outstanding and the prices were insanely good for the quality of food, service, and ambiance. I’ll be back.

The hours first kept throwing us off. We tried 3 times to come. Yelp, Facebook and website show differing hours. Once finally there, I pulled up Yelp and it said closed. So you all definitely need to get that fixed.
The seating was tight, not private or cozy for a date night. We moved to the sushi bar. The server was busy but managed fine. The sushi was incredible and makes it worth the many attempted trips there. The appetizer shrimp was awesome. The mojito was very good but once you tack on the liquor tax it was around $17?! We will be back, but drinking water

We’re locals and have been here multiple times and always enjoy the food. It’s just our opinion, but we feel the dining/seating area could use help.
AOI is looked at as a high-end, good quality restaurant, and patrons will pay the higher price IF the full package is delivered, e.g., seating/ambience, service, food, and value. Isn’t value measured by all four?
Believe it or not, we prefer the bar area so we’re not feeling like we in a hallway or next to the bathroom (main dining by the kitchen), especially at a place as nice as AOI.
Just our thoughts. It’s good and we come back. The question is, would patrons (locals too) come back more frequently if they didn’t feel cramped in to a tiny space w limited table top space? Just our thoughts. Thanks for asking!

The restaurant was dark and noisy. Our table was tiny and not very cozy. It was shoved against a wall that was beside a main hallway. We had a server that was ok. No real complaints about him, but the food took entirely too long. Reservations were 5:30, and although seated right away, we waited 1 hour and 10 minutes before we got our dinner. The food wasn’t that wonderful and certainly not worth the wait. I didn’t think it was worth the money we spent either. I don’t feel the need to ever go back. I didn’t hate it, but there are other places I’d prefer to go to.

We had the special Wednesday night (1/10) which was steamed rice, pickled veggie salad, lightly seared ahi, and more and it was the best meal I've had there. It's an entree, not a roll, and it's a full plate, trust me! Can't go wrong and I'd highly recommend the chef keeps it on the menu. It's a top seller!

I loved the Japanese Old Fashioned. Finding a parking spot is a challenge. Afternoon sun was bothersome where we sat...suggest a window shade. Food is a bit pricey. Server said the Lamb Pots we’re phenomenal...I did not find them so...mine were tough at the bone. Scallops were very fresh. Sushi rolls were average. I look forward to different ones on my next visit.

I was disappointed in the overall service. We waited 15 minutes to be seated at our table even though we had a reservation and waited for over an hour to receive our food. Although our waitress was friendly, she didn't check on us or communicate the reason for the delay. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, but I was surprised with the amount of tables and how close together they were. It made me feel like they weren't conscious of COVID or trying to accommodate for that. Although the rolls tasted good, I felt like the prices were a little bit high.

For a restaurant to be in downtown Bentonville and have overpriced food!
The server gave us glass cups that were dirty, there was red lipstick on the brim of the glass, and with COVID going on, that just threw us off! Then we noticed our plates were a bit spotty with what seem to be dryer food, and also some on the chopstick!! Overall terrible experience!!

The food was good albeit over-priced. Service was slow. The men's restroom was just one at a time which created wait-lines. Seems like a small business that could use some logistical help.

Had a 7:45 reservation. Arrived early and checked in with hostess. We did not get a table until 8:40. Hostess seemed to have forgotten and places walkins in front if those with reservations.

We were there early for a party of two and got put at a very small table which was in an inconvenient spot. I think they could do more to make the table arrangements more comfortable and in the overall look of the restaurant.

Terrible service, took them 20 minutes to grab our appetizer order, 30 minutes to get our drinks and forgot one drink when the did arrive. Took way too long on appetizers, didn’t clear the table to the point we had to give them the plates. Second glass of wine was dirty with lipstick and the waiter threw a funny one asking if i was sure if it’s not mine, had to remind them about the replacement. Left me without anything to drink, water or wine while eating a spicy sushi. Terrible service, food was great.

The experience is as good with the waiter. The food was amazing. We both ran out of water pretty early on in our meal and both needed some water throughout our meal. Also a verbal happy birthday would have been nice at least since we reserved for a birthday and there was not much celebration happening from the customer standpoint.
