This is the best place for Sunday dinner!!!! We were originally booked in as a party of 4. But we had unexpected visitors (another 6) and without any fuss they managed to fit us all in the same aera the staff were all very efficient and friendly. Definitely recommend eating here food was delicious.

The food was lovely, I only gave it a 9 instead of a 10 because the menu said that roast dinners came with roast potatoes, and ours didn't (they are the best bit!). There is a very friendly feel to the pub, but a bit of background music would be nice.

A positive experience and would come again however the place looks a tired and in need of a freshen up. We were near the window towards the road and there was a dip in the floor that my chair went in to and the chair also looked as though a dog had had a good chew of it

Spacious table for 6 adults and 1 child. All meals were excellent quality, portion size and good value. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very busy at 4pm on a Sunday but we weren't rushed. Bar service was good.

Came to try the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. Nice to have this pub back to how it used it be. Will definitely be returning. Would be nice to have table service back but wouldn't put me off returning.

The main meal was fine except for the greens, which weren't cooked 100% and therefore tough. The cauliflower cheese wasn't very cheesy, though alright and it was free, due to the greens. A little expensive for what I had, especially the pudding. I'm coming back with friends, so will see what the next time provides me with!!

Only problem (existed before recent takeover is that it tends to be hot & humid in the dining area; not a complaint just an observation & for feedback. As I say - it’s always been that way but could do with improving as the temperature/humidity can get uncomfortable. Regards.

Sunday dinner was lovely. The beef was delicious, really tender. Had to ask for extra gravy but no problem. Felt the restaurant needs an uplift. We were in the conservatory and due to the warm weather it was really hot in there .. we would have stayed longer but it got quite uncomfortable to sit there.

I know it's dog friendly pub but when eating and having a dog drooling and begging and the owners thinking it's funny and their son playing wheels on the bus on his I pad . Had chicken tai green curry, pie & mixed grill on our table. Found the some parts of the chicken in the curry slightly chewy & the pie didn't have much meat inside however the mixed grill was fabulous! The singer on that night was great but abit loud so we couldn't hear each other very well even though we were sat the opposite end to her. I would definitely come back again but maybe just for a drink xx

All good apart from the wrong pie being given to one of our party . Stilton and potato instead of lamb and mint. Not wanting to complain we mentioned it at the end of the meal . No apology given or offer to rectify things . Good job the recipient isn’t dairy intolerant. Disappointing
