The food was good but I don’t know that it was $26 a plate worth of good. The presentation wasn’t anything special and the food tasted about as good as Olive Garden, and I expected better I guess. Service was great. There was live music that wasn’t too loud.

The calzone was pretty dry and had almost no cheese. Wouldn’t recommend it however the shrimp and mushroom risotto was amazing!!!!

This was my first time at Rione and it was like going back to my childhood and the authentic Italian dishes shared with family. The service was friendly and helpful...super pleasant. We had a group of 6 people for dinner to celebrate my daughter, Madi’s graduation from Chico State on Friday, May 17th. The reservation was easy to make well in advance (hard to get during graduation weekend) and the young man who made the reservation was so friendly and helpful. Our dinner was amazing—the food was fantastic and the service was above and beyond! Natalie was our server and she made the evening so incredibly special! She was personable, fun and excellent all around! Thank you to Natalie for helping to make this special occasion so memorable! We just love her! And the rest of the staff was so friendly and helpful. My meal was delicious but the price was to high to not include a salad. Its pasta, polenta, chicken or fancy bacon for goodness sake.

The food is amazing. Everything I've ever ordered I loved and couldn't believe how good it was. Great value. Recently we did 2 apps 5 drinks 2 entrees and the tiramisu and when the check came I was excited to put the money I thought it would cost in the tip. The open patio and windows are great. You feel like you get a patio experience from inside. Only issue I had was being initially seated at the back between the kitchen and bathroom. It was my wife's bday and we had made reservations for a very small party so it just felt kinda wrong. I know my wife preferred to sit elsewhere so I asked and they accommodated very quickly. There happened to be band the second time I went. That was awesome. Also they did a fantastic job emulating the restaurant in Italy they are modeled after. If you like Italian and want to go somewhere new. This is the spot. Fantastic and dangerous cocktails as well.

The music was a nice touch, however, it is a noisy venue. Talking across the table was tough. Maybe turn the west side tables north to south so one person isn’t facing the sun.

I have been to Rione many times, but this time my friend ordered a rigatoni with sausage that was described by the menu and the server as mildly spicy. My friend could not eat it because the spice was too spicey and returned it. She was offered another dish but she declined. Rione did comp us a dessert and coffee. I saw the owner visit tables asking about their dinners, but avoided our table. It would have been nice if he visited us even though he knew he would receive negative feedback. I had the shrimp risotto and loved it. I still love Rione and will return again, but I think this is important feedback for the owner and servers. Spicey is subjective, so maybe the server could have offered a taste.

Ordering a simple glass of sangria took way too long, and we arrived at 4:45. And then my partner wanted a glass and it took so long we thought she had forgotten. For only being two tables being served it was not to be expected.

First time trying Rione for lunch. Dinner is always exceptional. Service was a bit slow - we understood as it is still new. I would love to see some shareables for lunch. Food was great as was wine selection. We will be back.

The server did not ask if we wanted grated cheese on orders, bread was so hard on the bottom we had to cut it off . No salt and pepper on table and it took so long to get waitperson attention to ask for it. The noise level is VERY HIGH no baffling . It will be awhile before we return .

Great service. Very comfortable and inviting atmosphere. We had two pasta dishes - both very good. The Appetizer was sub-par, though. Fig and pistachio mozzarella spread was basically just mozzarella - could barely taste the other ingredients.

It’s a very nice place overall. I noticed having ordered the same thing I had last time and the main reason I returned, that there was 5 prawns instead of 6 and that the portion size overall was definitely smaller. That was a big negative when my food arrived. Also, it’s very loud in there! And the main reason for the lower score on ambience. Sorry, I’m sure that doesn’t have an easy fix. I had friends mention the same thing about the rooms noise level to me before I went the first time. But the food brought me back. The risotto is excellent.

Top notch service, one of the best servers we’ve had. Drinks were great. Food was not impressive at all. Bland. Tables need salt and pepper shakers.
