Food lovely, efficient, friendly service. Ambience slightly marred by some loud swearing other customers but appreciate beyond your control. Quite expensive but then so is everything at the moment. Enjoyed and will recommend you and will return once we have saved up some more pennies ;-)

Delightful staff. Chose the 'small meal' option of fish and chips which was just the right amount for people with smaller appetites. Delicious apple and rhubarb crumble to finish a great lunch. My only suggestion would be to reduce the volume of music, or at least install a facility so that you can control the sound in each dining room separately. We shall be returning. Thank you!

Such a fantastic pub/restaurant. We had booked for 12.30 and were four friends meeting for lunch travelling from two directions. They had a big party of 25 people in and this did not impact on us at . Excellent food,service and lovely atmosphere. We will be back and have already recommended you to others. I had been to this pub the Friday before this visit and ordered the Calves liver it was absolutely amazing , so much so that I ordered it again. Unfortunately there must have been a different chef on because the potato’s were lumpy and watery and the liver was stringy. I would return again as we really like the staff and the ambience. But not sure I would eat there next time we visit.

Since Savino took over the pub it has gone from strength to strength and is becoming exactly what it should be, the heart of the village. Great experience, excellent food and the only problem was that the staff member pressed the wrong food button which meant that my wife had to wait for the correct dish to be served and I had finished my pie before the gravy arrived with the correct meal for my wife. Quickly rectified and profuse apologies for the error. Very nice pie and plenty of fresh vegetables, carrots cabbage and so forth, which is slightly unusual for pub meals. We shall return.

A lovely Tuesday night, with friendly staff and customers a welcoming log fire during with smell to match. Whats not to love? Dining with a friend who had plant based requirement and actually there was a huge amount of choice for vegan and vegetarian. We both enjoyed the Halloumi burgers.

Very pleasant evening, attentive staff, freshly cooked food, good portions, nice ambience, busy with diners. However this is the second time we have been to the steak night and sadly both times the steak was under cooked. On this occasion we asked for medium, but it was definitely more rare, very red meat.
