It is always a pleasure to have a drink and maybe a meal at the Olive Tree. I meet various people, individuals and groups, there because of the.general ambience, tasty food and good value.
The only suggestion I would make is that just a couple of the waiting staff have a little more training in not placing a tray of tea/coffee down saying “There you are” and walking back to the kitchen. Just a friendly smile or maybe, “Excuse me, your drinks”. This is suggested as a helpful suggestion, but I appreciate that maybe fine tuning our communication skills is not everyone’s cup of tea!!

well as you can see I give all points top marks. Just waiting for Spring, the better weather to come so we can go sit in the lovely gardens and eat.
Here in Haydon Wick area, this side of Swindon, we need more places like this, there is a dearth of congenial , on all points, places where we can meet together and also
not rushed to leave the table... Heaven!

Seating arrangements need to be thought through more, some tables/chairs too close together, which meant a guest in a wheelchair struggled to join her table. Lighting was rather dark in tge back room and made viewing the stalls difficult. Overall really enjoyed the afternoon and the puddings were delicious

We have visited the Olive Tree cafe for many years now and missed being able to do so during the Covid restrictions. However, we are once again enjoying seeing everyone there.
Every care has been taken to ensure customers’s safety; tables are well-spaced and the table service is second to none. Tables and chairs are thoroughly cleaned before new customers use them.
The food is tasty and we love the breakfast choices.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are really friendly, cheerful and helpful.
We feel really safe eating there and the table-booking system is so easy.

As always, we enjoyed our meal at The Olive Tree cafe in Swindon. There is an amazing ethos there and the cafe helps so many people gain or regain confidence I themselves and their ability to meet with others, and it can be a stepping stone back to work for some. We have visited the Olive Tree for years and are more than happy to recommend it to others. The meals and cakes are freshly cooked and produce is grown onsite in their own gardens.
The cafe can get very busy so we almost always book in advance just to make sure we get a table.
All in all, a lovely place to meet up with friends or even to spend some quiet time on your own.

The reason I put a 6 for service, is that even though you hold up the sign to say you are ready to order. It still took awhile for someone to actually come to our table. And I noticed that a few times with other tables as well, the staff would look and see that we were ready, but wouldn't come over.

We as a family love coming here, when my grandchildren are at school my daughter and myself come for lunch when I'm not working.. this week grandchildren were with us, and every member of visible staff checked they were ok, gave them colouring sheets to complete and made sure they asked them for their orders, they both felt so happy to be included. Always enjoy our catch-ups with friends at the Olive Tree, unfortunately the meal ordered by our friend with us on Tuesday wasn’t given to the kitchen, so ours arrived and we had finished them before the kitchen was able to catch up with it, which rather spoiled the experience! He was not charged for the omission but I don’t understand how it could be missed off a shortlist of 3 uncomplicated meals on a small piece of paper by a member of staff.

When booking on line ,couldn't book for more than 6 people.
Had to phone cafe to book for 8 people.

Thank you for the feedback. We limit the online booking to six people as this covers over 95% of our bookings. Also, we only have one table that can sit more. For larger groups we generally want to understand a little more detail so that we can seat you correctly.- Overall: 10/10
